The Oakland Business Improvement District and Stack’d Burgers & Beer in Oakland have joined forces to raise funds for Family House of Pittsburgh as part of an all-day event scheduled for Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Dollar Bank Citiparks Cinema In The Park – Summer 2016 – 6/5 To 8/31

Films are shown at dusk on Sundays and Wednesdays, June 5 – August 31, 2016 at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park. 
 
Wednesday Nights also include the Concert Series at Flagstaff Hill.  Come early to enjoy mid-week musical performances before the movie begins. Bands perform on Flagstaff Hill Wednesdays from approximately 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

EcoDistrict Focus Group mtg TODAY 7/27th 5pm At The Corner – 200 Robinson St

 Scott Page, a consultant working with the EcoInnovation District in Uptown/West Oakland/ Hill District, is in town this week. 
 
 There will be a focus group meeting to discuss and provide community input for the needs and vision for development plans in the EcoDistrict. This meeting will take place TODAY Wednesday, July 27th 5:00pm at The Corner at 200 Robinson St. Please plan to attend and this is a great opportunity to ask questions and/or express concerns you may have directly to the consultant in charge of this project.

The property owners of 3347 Forbes Avenue will present their proposed renovations to the building's facade at the Planning Commission meeting this week, Tuesday, 7/12, at 2 PM. The building is next to UCSUR and across the street from McGee Womens Hospital.

  • Installation of main waterline on Lothrop Street is 50% complete from 5th Avenue to Victoria Street.
  • Concrete paving base restoration is being completed as each 100-foot section of main waterline is installed.
  • The project is approximately 10% complete.
  • The anticipated project completion date is November 2016, weather permitting.
